A story of Two Frogs- Of Trouble, persistence and success

Two Frogs in a bucket

Two frogs lived in a small pond near a village farm.

One was big, slow, and calm.
The other was small, full of energy, and loved to jump and play.

It was springtime.
The grass was green, flowers were blooming, butterflies danced in the air, and fish swam joyfully.
It was a perfect day.

The big frog lay on a rock, enjoying the sunshine.

“Come on!” said the little frog. “Let’s play! Let’s jump into the pond!”

The big frog smiled. “You’re always full of energy.”

“Life is for jumping,” the little frog laughed. “Not just sitting!”

So they jumped into the water. They played. They raced. They laughed.

Then, full of joy, they hopped out of the pond and wandered toward the farmyard—
not knowing what was waiting for them.

Suddenly—splash!
They both fell into a large metal bucket.

It was half-filled with milk.

The walls were smooth. There was nothing to hold on to.
They tried to jump out, but kept slipping back in.

“Where are we?” cried the little frog.
“We’ve fallen into a milk bucket!” shouted the big frog.

They swam. They paddled. They shouted for help.
But no one came.

Giving Up

“I’m tired,” said the big frog.
“There’s no way out. We’re going to die anyway. What’s the use?”

“No, don’t give up!” said the little frog.
“As long as we swim, there is hope. Something might happen!”

But the big frog had already lost his strength.
He stopped swimming… and slowly sank.

The little frog was left alone.

 Keep Going

He was scared. His legs were tired. His heart was heavy.

“I should give up too…” he thought.

But then he remembered something he once heard from a wandering saint:
“A saint is a sinner who never gave up.”

He whispered to himself:
“As long as I try, I’m alive. If I stop… I’m finished.”

So he kept swimming.
One minute.
Then another.
And another.

The milk began to change.
It turned into cream… then thick foam.

Still, he didn’t stop.

His body was shaking. His eyes were closing. But he kept going.

“Banat, banat… ban jaaye,” he whispered.

“Keep doing… and it will be done.”

Then, suddenly—his foot touched something solid.

Butter!

The milk had churned into butter because of his constant movement.

With one last push, the little frog jumped—
and landed outside the bucket.

He was safe.

 The Moral

From that day, the little frog promised:
“I will never give up. No matter how hard things become.”

“A saint is a sinner who never gave up.” – Paramahansa Yogananda

Keep trying. Keep moving. Especially on your spiritual path.

Banat, banat… ban jaaye.
(Doing, doing… it gets done.)
